Delete your account
Last updated: 9 September 2026
This page explains how to delete your Metria account and the data kept under it, what is removed, and what briefly survives for technical reasons.
Delete it from the app
The fastest way, and the one we recommend: open Metria, go to Settings → Account, and choose Delete my account. It runs immediately and does not need our involvement.
No access to the app? Ask by email
If you no longer have the app installed, can't sign in, or simply prefer email, write to privacy@heraion.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it.
What gets deleted
Your sign-in identity, and every row we hold under your account: workouts, sets, programs, plans, measurements, pain notes, glucose readings, nutrition entries, heart rate, maxes, and free-text notes.
What survives, and for how long
A few things outlive the delete for technical reasons, and we'd rather say so than imply nothing does:
- The empty marker left behind by a deleted workout session — 30 days.
- A short-lived technical cache used to make requests safe to retry — 24 hours.
- Our continuous database backup, which exists to recover from an incident, not to keep your data around — 35 days.
- Feedback you sent us from the app: the report itself stays, but it is anonymized — who wrote it is removed.
Export first
Before you delete, you can export everything as a JSON file: Settings → Account → Export my data.
No trash, no undo
There is no soft-delete and no recovery window. Once the account is deleted, it's gone.
